Celebrating the Women of EMG on International Women’s Day
Marked annually on March 8th, International Women’s Day (IWD) is one of the most important days of the year to celebrate the achievements of women worldwide. EMG is proud to feature and celebrate some of the talented, dedicated, and professional female entertainers that lend their talents in service of our many events, throughout the entire month of March. We celebrate their achievements and invite you to get to know a few below!
One of EMG’s youngest yet most talented musicians, Chloe’s been writing and performing since she was 13 when her original song “Hardly Breathe” won the MusiCares® Teens Make Music Contest. She was selected as a vocalist in the prestigious 2017 GRAMMY Camp Jazz Session choir and played with the best young jazz musicians in the country in performances throughout GRAMMY Week, including the GRAMMY after-party and Entertainment Tonight. Chloe is one of the best wedding musicians on the east coast for ceremonies and cocktail hours.
CityScape Front-Woman Sammi G brings a wealth of experience to EMG, touting nearly 15 years in the industry. Her signature performance style has helped define CityScape’s sound and propel the group to a multi-year award-winning wedding band highly sought after throughout the tri-state area. When she’s not on stage, Sammi is an avid yogi.
Robin is EMG’s resident harpist and is the President of the North Jersey Chapter of the American Harp Society. She has appeared on several television shows and recordings and at events honoring Lord Guinness, Cicely Tyson, and Sir James Galway. Robbin is a Salvi Concert Artist and presented master classes and a concert at the French Ambassador’s residence in Bogota, Columbia, for the Salvi Harp Foundation. Robin has a proven track record as the best wedding harpist in the New York New Jersey area!
Hailing from a family where the bonding activity was DJing, Chelli is a second-generation entertainer and EMG’s resident female DJ and Event Host. Recognized for her incredible talent, Chelli joined EMG in 2019 and is sponsored by high-end audio company RCF, which recognizes her as one of the country’s top DJs.
Hudson Heights Band Leader Eden Mendez has forged a lifelong journey in music. From the theater stage to concert halls and finally, throughout the Tri-State area as Hudson Heights lead singer, Eden has honed her craft and continues to entertain the masses. Eden is also a public-school music teacher.
Admittedly, entertainment is Sara’s life passion. Having been formally trained and earning a degree in music, Sara brought her powerful voice to front EMG band, Hyde Park. Previously, her talents were showcased on Season 8 of NBC’s “The Voice,” Madison Square Garden, where she sang the national anthem and performances at major venues around the NY/NJ area.
