What’s included in a typical wedding band experience?
Every EMG wedding band package includes:
- Professional musicians and vocalists (4–12+ piece configurations available)
- Sound system and technical production by an on-site audio engineer
- Setup, soundcheck, and on-site staff
- Curated setlist customized to your preferences
- MC and event hosting services
We also offer optional DJ and Hybrid Band combinations for extended entertainment coverage.
Can I see EMG bands perform live before booking?
Yes! We host regular showcase events throughout the year where couples can experience our bands in person. These events are a great opportunity to meet our musicians and feel the energy of a live EMG performance. If you can’t make one, don’t sweat it: All featured content of our bands are 100% live audio so you can get a true sense for how they sound live and book with confidence!
How far in advance should I book my wedding band?
Our bands are in high demand, especially during peak wedding months. We recommend booking 12–15 months in advance to secure your preferred band and date.
Can I combine a live band with a DJ?
Absolutely. EMG specializes in Hybrid Bands. This is our signature experience blending the live energy of a band with the flexibility and nonstop flow of a DJ. This hybrid format keeps your dance floor full and transitions seamless from start to finish.
Do EMG bands take special song requests?
Yes! We’ll learn and perform your special songs such as your first dance or parent dances to make your celebration truly personal. You can also share “must play” and “do not play” lists during your planning process.
Where do your bands perform, and are there travel fees?
Our bands primarily perform across New Jersey, New York, Connecticut, and Pennsylvania metro regions, but of course go where our clients take us! Travel or accommodation fees may apply for destination weddings, and all details are shared upfront in your proposal.
Do EMG bands bring their own sound and equipment?
Yes! Every EMG performance includes professional-grade audio equipment, handled by an on-site audio engineer. We coordinate with your venue to ensure a flawless setup and superior sound quality.
